Biography
I come from Québec City, where I have done my pre-university studies (Cégep de Sainte-Foy [2014-2016]) and am currently completing a biochemistry degree at Université Laval. In the summer of 2017, less than a year after starting my bachelor’s degree, I joined the Landry laboratory for an internship. I then discovered the wonderful world of evolutionary biology.
Research interests
During my internship, I used protein-protein interaction and synthetic biology tools to elucidate the evolutionary history of a pair of paralogs from the yeast’s nuclear pore complex. I have since continued to work on this project. I am interested in the evolutionary dynamics of protein complexes and in mechanisms of evolution, particularly regarding the generation of novelty.
